Having obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in structural engineering from Michigan Technological University, Mike’s attention to detail and innovative design ideas have earned him the well-deserved reputation as one of the foremost custom home builders in the country. A true industry leader, Mike has built more than 2000 homes throughout the Tampa Bay area in respected communities such as South Tampa, St. Peteresburg, Avila, Tampa Palms, Cheval, Hunters Green, and FishHawk Ranch. His home design concepts have received numerous national awards and accolades, including the prestigious distinction of having been one of just three home designs in the United States selected to be built for The Haverty House, a design showcase sponsored by Southern Living magazine. He is also is a multiple Aurora Awards winner, named as one of the Top Ten Builder in Florida and a multiple winner of Best Custom Home from $1 million dollars and up. A former two-time president of the Tampa Bay Builders Association and a two-time Tampa Bay Builder of the Year, Mike believes in giving back to and supporting his industry and community on a regular basis.
As one of the home building industry’s leading corporate finance and operations managers, Scott served as CEO and COO for Hannah Bartoletta Homes before co-founding Taralon Homes with Mike in 2011. Prior to this, Scott’s family owned and operated a custom home building business for many years in Indiana before relocating to Florida. You could easily say that he was born to be a home builder. Scott works closely with Mike on each design/build project to insure that every home is built to specification on time, and within budget. For more than 30 years Scott has been maximizing his expertise in corporate finance, business operations, and management to create successful business opportunities. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
